Omnia's Daily Success Planner (DSP)

There are still some managers, especially sales managers, who think they can successfully legislate a sales increase. Too bad it's not that easy.

Here are some features of Omnia's DSP:

· Most successful daily tasks are the result of several steps. In sales, for example, the daily tasks might be (1) develop leads, (2) convert leads into prospects, (3) set date for formal presentation, (4) gain an order. In other cases, the DSP might be tracking "covers" in a restaurant during a seven-day week. Managers and employees know the steps.

· In an informal work session, the steps are discussed. The manager accesses his or her page in the Omnia.cc website, clicks on DSP names the planner (a company might have several-some sales, some service), selects a 5, 6 to 7 day week, selects a 2, 3 or 4-step daily goal, and the people themselves commit to Step 1, the conversion rate or percent of Goal 1 that becomes Goal 2, the percent of Goal 2 that becomes Goal 3, etc.

Notice that true to Omnia's core philosophy, the employees have equity in the process and the result. Next, the manager identifies the employees who will be using this DSP

· A click of the mouse and the agreed plan for the balance of the year (or any time period specified) appears.

· At the end of each day, each employee visits the website and logs in their day's results. They may not change previous entries (only the manager may do that to correct an honest error).

· Now the manager, from anywhere in the world with Internet access, can see the results of his group and each individual.

· Typical revelations: The problem has not been to increase sales! The problem is that

Mary needs help generating leads

Richard need help converting leads into true prospects

Jorge needs help getting dates with his prospects

Susan needs help with closing.

· Now the manager can help, quickly, where it is needed. One size does not fit all!
