The Omnia Group
The mission of The Omnia Group is to help our clients hire and keep
their best employees, and to earn a reputation as the premier provider
of employee selection, retention, and management tools.
The Omnia Group is a management and personnel consulting firm one mile southwest of downtown Tampa, Fla.
Founded in 1985 by its President and CEO, John B Caswell, The Omnia Group has helped employers make more informed hiring decisions and manage their existing employees for peak performance and long-term retention. For information on Caswell's books on employee selection and management, visit www.HumanGround.com.
Serving as the foundation of the company is The Omnia Profile(r), a combination adjective checklist/questionnaire that takes 10 to 12 minutes to complete and reveals an individual's personality tendencies in the workplace. During its 17-year history, Omnia has analyzed more than one million Profiles for 12,000 clients in 23 countries.
Job candidates take the Profile before the first interview when they are unaware of the specifics of the job or company. Specially trained Omnia analysts then compare the responses to job "benchmarks" submitted by the client and write assessments based on similarities or dissimilarities found. Benchmarks may also include peer and supervisor Profiles, making it easy for clients to see how job candidates compare to top performers, how the potential employee and manager would interact along with tips for the prospective manager based o that manager's personality. This is why clients use The Omnia Profile for any job.
Completed reports are available in approximately three business hours. Each eight-page report includes an easy-to-read graph and a clear, non-clinical discussion of the individual's potential strengths and challenges. Also included are suggested interview questions and other valuable material. Armed with this insight, clients can reduce turnover and save thousands of dollars in training and administrative cost. The Profile is validated as 93 percent accurate by an independent research firm and complies with Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines.
One of the hallmarks of The Omnia Profile is its versatility. In addition to pre-employment hiring screening, the Profile is equally effective in the following areas:
| Intra-company transfers | Selection before promotion |
| Retention | Team building |
| Career planning | Outplacement assistance |
| Succession/perpetuation planning | Mergers and acquisitions staff rationalization |
